Real Men Wear Flight Suits!
01 August 2005:

Maybe fighting is all that I am capable of doing.  And maybe my battles will prove to be irrelevant.  They may even expand the conflict even further.  But, there are others doing their best to create a peaceful future where we can resolve our disputes through discussion; not with battles but with words.  I won't forgive those who try to crush that dream with their unnecessary violence.  And that's the reason why I fight.
But one day, when this war ends, we'll see each other again.  And we'll realize that not all of us are there.  And on that day we're going to mourn.  But we shouldn't have to mourn for very long.  We exist now for that day - to embrace the freedom of our future.

09 August 2005:

So I was driving home from class tonight and I had the radio tuned to one of the local classic rock stations.  And I'm driving along and all of a sudden, they start playing Breakdown by Guns N' Roses from Use Your Illusion!  And I thought, "Wait a minute!  They're playing this on a classic rock station!"
I can remember being eight years old and waiting for this album to come out!  And when it did, I went grocery shopping with my parents and snuck away to the Record Town down the strip and bought the cassette tapes!  And after a while my parents found them and threw them out because they were "degenerate garbage"!  And now it's considered "classic rock"?
Am I really THAT friggin' old?  The next thing you know, mothers are going to be singing November Rain as a lullaby!  And that was my prom song!
19 August 2005:

So someone commented to me the other day that my blog was very much unlike your typical online journal.  They said that most people utilize blogging technology to complain about the miniscule and irrelevant inconveniences that plague their lives and the fits of depression that result from them.  Whereas my blog is "chipper" and "funny".
As you can probably imagine, this disturbed me greatly.  Obviously I am doing something horribly wrong with this blog if it is not like the standard blog in every respect.  So without further ado, here is a list of all the misfortunes that plague my life right now.

Misfortune #1:  My socks are kinda wet right now.  Not really soaked, just sorta damp and just uncomfortable in general.  I have dry socks in my underwear drawer.

2:  The rechargeable batteries that I bought for my kickass sexy new boombox don't seem to be working right.  Today, when I tried to play it at the beach after charging the batteries all night, the digital screen on the front of the unit read, "Battery Error".  This had never happened before and I had no music to accompany me at the beach today.  How depressing.

3:  The 1-hr photo development machine at Brooks in Centerbrook AND Flanders are both on the fritz.  So I went to Wal*Mart instead.  I feel violated and unclean.

4:  My shoes are full of sand.

5:  The three new Neon Tetras that I bought for the fishtank in my room have disappeared less than a day later.  Either they were eaten whole or they were sucked up into the filter.  I'm still too scared to check!

6:  My Happy Fun Ball exploded.

7:  I have to cut off my sexy summer hair next week.

8:  I can't for the life of me speak any French.

9:  I'm all out of fried noodles.

10:  I went to a party last night and drank this unfiltered wheat brew by Harpoon's.  It gave me the shits all night long.  Seriously, I was taking dumps like it was going outta style!  Or maybe it was the Sleazy Mac?

So this has been a rather depressing blog entry.  But I want to thank all my friends and family for sticking by me through the tough times and the fried noodle shortages.  Without your support, I don't think I'd be able to handle the difficulties in my life!
